We started a few weeks ago with a visit from Grandpa Mair-he came to see us (well really just DJ and Sadie) and it was a nice visit where DJ entertained with his musical talents. Piano, drumming and singing...Grandpa's ears were ringing when he left!

We then had a normal week that led to Earth Day at the Botanical Garden, Easter Activities at Living History Farms and finally the Easter Holiday at the lake.

Good times and lots of laughter; DJ is quite a little boy who is inquisitive and always asking questions and curious about everything. We have received many compliments about his good manners and how mature he is for his age. We are just happy to have a good little boy who loves spending time with his Mommy and Daddy.

Fun Weekends

DJ and Mommy try to get away most Saturdays to have a little fun time.  Give Devon a break and do some fun things.  Last weekend we hit Blank Park Zoo, East Village, the State Capital and a local park.  We generally do alot and have fun. 

This weekend is no different!  We hit the Fort Des Moines Museum and Easter Egg Hunt as well as Valley West Mall for a train ride and to visit the Easter Bunny.  There will be lots of opportunities in coming weeks for fun Easter Egg Hunts and maybe another visit to see the Easter Bunny before Easter weekend.

The beautiful weather today was ideal and Devon and DJ finished up our garden, now we just have to plant our seeds and hope for veggies!

Spring has Sprung!

Beautiful day here in Des Moines, we hit up the Natural Expo downtown at the Polk County Convention Center, then to a birthday party for our friend Will and finally a little play time in the yard. 

It is really getting to be spring and we are loving the weather!  Here is to hoping that when we have a our Iowa Cubs opener in a few weeks we will be able to be there in nice weather, as well as our late Easter will mean lots of Easter Egg hunts!

Going for a neighborhood cruise, we talked to our friends Mike and Trudy on our drive!
