Business Trip to Mason City and Charles City

We had a fun trip to Mason City and Charles City on Business. We test drove some lawn mower as Mommy had a meeting with the Charles City YMCA. Then we ate with Grandpa Mau, Mommy had more meetings so Daddy and Grandpa Mau played with me at the Mason City Mall. Then after a few more Business Stops for Mommy, daddy took us to East Park in Mason City. East Park was a blast, I can't wait to go back. Had deer, disc golf, a real train, river, ducks and the best playground I have seen in my 18 months. I was shocked daddy didn't make us stop at Taco Tico, Blah Blah, best Taco's, part of my youth or something like that. I tend to tune him out because its not as good as daddy thinks.

Its Spring time in the Air-

Grass is getting green-

No, snow in sight-
Flowers are starting to spring to life-
The start of Baseball season-
Arena Football season is starting Friday-
And best of all DJ is growing every day- New words, new things to discover- Everything is different in the eyes of a little boy- In a world of nothing but stressful days and night DJ teaches us every day the simple things we need to enjoy.

•Daddy your not doing it right, let me try-

•Ok, daddy you can give me a kiss, then I get to play in the mud puddle, Deal?

•Mommy, Lets talk. I want a 9 oclock bed time, more cookies and No more pictures or your going to get wet! I mean business!!

Updated 18 Month Stat

DJ is continuing his growth and doing quite well at being a big boy. He went yesterday for his 18 month checkup and last few shots. DJ did quite well, explaining his immediate dislike at being confined to the patient room while waiting for the Dr. However, as normal for DJ as soon as the Dr. entered he become, the quite and shy little boy--Talk about a split personality!

His stats are:
Height-32.75 inches
Weight-27 lbs
Head-19.62 (all his father, as he is in the 95th percentile for this!!)

He is growing at a great pace, and is doing very well for his age. His vocabulary is growing everyday as Devon and DJ work on new words. I am learning to smile and laugh everymorning as new words are used. We now request cereal first thing in the mornings, make sure to tell Mommy she is drinking her coffee-HOT! He is really coming into his own and is becoming a fun little boy. We are looking forward to the continued warm weather to allow more outdoor fun and mud puddle jumping.

18 months and Busy Times!

DJ turned 18 months on Thursday, we have been too busy to post!

We have had the opportunity to visit with all the Grandparents in the past few weeks with his cousin Nico.
Playing with Uncle Dillon

We took a brief trip to Illinois, visited with Grandpa Mair.

We went to KidsFest and had a great time in the bouncy house.

Swinging at KidsFest

Then DJ and I finally got to meet up with our friends in Kansas City (Miss Peggy and Cadence) and had a great time. We spent the weekend and played, visited and shopped a good time was had by all.

It's amazing what a big boy DJ is and how strong he is becoming. We are constantly finding new things that DJ can do and get into. He is showing how capable he is at being independent as well. He is very content to travel all over our yard and the neighbors as well to find other "good girls" (dogs!).

DJ and his best friend!

DJ is using his manners and his words very well and is very proud of his ability to help you get your coat and shoes. He loves the outdoors and especially puddles and getting dirty! A true boy he is proving to be with trucks/cars, muddy shoes and his love of animals.
